“How eHealthy are Canada and Germany?” We were excited to contribute to that discussion, as Shivani joined as panelist at their presentation and our team hosted the German Canadian Concourse (GCC) delegation’s field trip to the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation last month.
Hosted by Canada Meets Germany, the GCC is an annual series of day-long symposia on up-to-date topics with relevance to Canada and Germany following a unique format. It provides a platform for encounters between professionals with an interest in Canada-German relations. This year, the event explored the initiatives, technologies, and business at the forefront of electronic health care.
The delegation had a day packed with activities in Toronto, including the panel discussion, “Telemedicine in a Variety of Remote Settings – Experience and Data.” There, Shivani compared notes on the status on eHealth in Canada and Germany.
To start their field trip to the Centre, Aarti shared what is it that drives our passion and work daily as the delegation walked through our state-of-the-art simulation and usability lab facilities. The delegation was later joined by Niusha, Arvind, Akib, Mark, Andrew, and Dave, who showcased the latest technologies we are developing at the Centre. Our visitors enjoyed testing our apps such as Medly, Ned, and bant, as lively discussions ran well into the evening.
We are grateful for the opportunity to host the GCC delegation and learn about the eHealth landscape in Germany. Through sharing perspectives, both delegation and host left with fresh ideas and plans for ongoing collaboration. Come back again soon!
