Our work makes a difference and saves lives. I am motivated by the fact that my daily work will ultimately improve patient care. The outcomes of our work are tangible and have a personal aspect as well – each one of us is a patient at some point in our lives. As such, I would like to be confident that when I am the patient, I will not have to worry about systemic errors that may occur in my healthcare environment.
