I am originally from Liverpool – home of the Beatles. It is a beautiful city full of history, music and of course football
I love dancing of any kind. My current passion is Salsa, but I have previously competed in Quickstep, Waltz, and Jive to name a few, as well as attempted ballet, tap, jazz… you name it.
Everyone should read The Invisible Gorilla by Christopher Chabris and Daniel Simons. I’m not going to give anything away by telling you why. Another favourite of mine is The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge – the brain is such an amazing machine!
I studied Psychology both at the undergraduate and doctorate level (I received my Ph.D. in 2010). Since then I have worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Toronto and as a User Experience Researcher at a boutique firm in Toronto. In the evenings I have taught classes at both Ryerson and the University of Toronto on topics such as the visual guidance of walking and planning and design for human behaviour.
